RESEARCH LINES

Study of water supply.

Objetive

Climatic characterization of the viticultural cycles. Compare the current cycle with historical data to understand the current year. Build trends in climate behavior. To correlate the climatic march with the chronology of the phenological stages in the different terroirs. Enrich climate data to other research projects for greater understanding of these.

Results

With the climatic data that we have on our farms (6-10 years), weekly reports are prepared to understand the progress of the present cycle and annual reports to characterize the cycle

Water Resources Assessment

Objetive

To know the current water status and future projection of our aquifers from which we take water.

Results

Obtain information on the quantity and quality of water from the aquifers from which water is taken for irrigation. The information obtained is used to put together irrigation plans. In conjunction with the winter climate data, projections of water supply for irrigation can be put together on all the group's farms. Annual irrigation plans are adjusted according to water availability. A planting plan is designed according to the water supply that will be available. Varieties and rootstocks are chosen that adapt to projected water availability.

Irrigation Plan

Objetive

To achieve greater efficiency in the use of irrigation water

Results

Know the water need of each plot by phenological stage. Mitigate environmental impact through appropriate irrigation strategies. Conserve non-renewable natural resources. Provide tools and methodology that help to make water resources more efficient.
